A self-configuring perimeter system that creates a virtual closed area using four or more IQAnchors. Designed to work seamlessly with IQTags and Sentry IQReaders, the IQFence defines dynamic zones for asset tracking, loading control, and automatic compliance verification — all without physical barriers.
Autonomous Asset Boundary System
The Verustrack IQFence establishes a virtual boundary by linking four or more wireless IQAnchors positioned around the monitored area. Once powered, the IQAnchors autonomously determine their relative geometry — forming any polygonal area (not limited to rectangles).
The IQReader continuously communicates with the IQAnchors and IQTags within range, calculating which tagged assets are inside or outside the fence. Any IQTag that moves will be re-evaluated after 1 minute, ensuring location accuracy and event logging in real time.
When an IQReader is configured as a Loading Zone, the IQFence enables automated scanning of trucks or containers. All tagged assets inside the defined area are detected, and the system can automatically generate dispatch or receiving transmittals. Scanning 100 assets typically takes under 10 minutes.
The system operates locally through the IQReader's Wi-Fi access point — no Internet or external network required. When satellite or LTE connection is available, location and asset data are synced to IQPortal, allowing users to visualize every IQReader and its fenced assets on a live geographic map.
